Award Winning Toys Guide
|
Many parents wish that they could test out their children's toys

Criteria Used to Evaluate
Awards are given to toys based on a number of specifications. These are some of the questions used to evaluate a toy's worthiness of award.
- What is this product designed to do and how well does it do it?
- Does it invite active doing and thinking?
- Is it safe and well-designed? Can it withstand the unexpected?
- Does it fit the developmental needs, interests, and skills of the children for whom it was designed?
- Does the product emphasise moral values in any way? (This is asked mostly of books and videos.)
- What will the child learn from this product?
- Is the age label correct? Will it be too challenging or too easy for this age group?
