Boxing Buying Guide

Looking to drain yourself of excess aggression? Constantly getting in trouble for starting fights in public? Or are you tired of finding yourself in the crosshairs of over-aggressive nutters?

Then you've found the sport created especially for you! There is a reason why boxing is one of the oldest sports in existence. Society cannot allow for rampant sparring on the streets, so we have to channel that natural aggression into a contained space. Many personalities are drawn to boxing, but in the ring, strategy and brawn are all that remain. Those who are ill-prepared to deal with a scuffle, and looking to improve their confidence and skill, will want to concentrate efforts on weight-training  and conditioning before buying too much gear. Buying the nicest gloves  and the shiniest shorts  won't matter much when you go down within ten seconds of your first bout. Nevertheless, it is important to be equipped--just don't spend too much on equipment until you've gotten a feel for the game. Ask some veterans at local boxing clubs (avoid the bare-knuckled ones!) if they recommend any brands or models. Once you're doing 1,000 rope-jumps and 5,000 sit-ups a day, strap on the gloves, stuff your mouth full of protective plastic and get in the ring!

But be careful... everyone knows that man is the most dangerous game of all.
