Exilim Card - S model

Designed for convenience, the S models all are geared towards ease and user friendliness--even Grandpa can operate this compact point and shoot.   Comes in red, black, and silver.

EX-S10
  • 10.1 megapixel
  • 3x optical zoom (12x total)
  • ultra slim design (smallest 10.1 megapixel camera as of 2007)
  • 6.9cm LCD screen

Extra: Amazing movie and photo functions including face and smile detection, face recognition, and a handful of great movie functions (including a YouTube function) that cannot be done justice in one sentence (or even an essay for that matter).

Verdict: The many functions of the EX-S10  allow you to record great footage and take extraordinary pictures.  Those who invest in this camera will not be disappointed--unless you don't find the extra functions necessary.  If so, try the EX-S880. 


EX-S880
  • 8.1 megapixel
  • 3x optical zoom (12x total)
  • 7.1cm TFT screen

Extra: 39 pre-settings for the perfect picture in every situation.

Verdict: Best for those who love taking high quality pictures but aren't up to paying for all of those extra functions that are never used.  The EX-S880  functions that are included are helpful and are simple to utilize.  Slim and simple is the mantra.  Nothing unnecessary.


EX-S770
  • 7.2 megapixel
  • 3x optical zoom (2x total)
  • 7.1cm TFT screen

Extra: Data storage function allows you to transfer documents, Excel sheets, Powerpoint or even web pages to be viewed any time on its wide screen.

Verdict: The EX-S770  can hardly match up to the EX-S880 or the EX-S10, but the Data storage function is pretty nifty.

Exilim Zoom - Z model and Exilim Hi-Zoom - V model

The great zoom on the Z model and the V-model allows for great optical capabilities while keeping with the slim, compact design.  Take it from the great Robert Capa who said, "If your pictures aren't good enough, you're not close enough."

EX-Z300
  • 10.1 megapixel
  • 4x optical zoom (16x total, 22.8x HD)
  • 7.6 TFT screen

Extra: 28mm wide angles lens, HD video, calendar photo storage, and Passport photo function.

Verdict: Advanced movie and photo functions make the EX-Z300  camera fun to play with, and the zoom is the icing on the cake.

EX-Z85
  • 9.1 megapixel
  • 4x optical zoom (12x total, 16x HD)
  • 6.6cm TFT screen

Extra: 28mm wide angle lens, HD video, calendar photo storage, advanced photo editing and stabilization, YouTube function.

Verdict: The extra editing functions make the EX-Z85  a camera and photoshop in one.

EX-Z1200
  • 12.1 megapixel
  • 3x optical zoom (12x total, 18.7x non deterioration)
  • 7.cm TFT screen

Extra: Non deterioration zoom up to 18.7x

Verdict: The non deterioration zoom on the EX-Z1200  allows the combined optical and digital zoom to jump from 12x to 18.7x with the use to the 12.1 megapixel screen.  Awesome.

EX-V8

  • 6.4 TFT screen

Extra: YouTube capture mode + 7x optical zoom = heaven.

Verdict: The writer was too enthralled with the 7x optical zoom on the EX-V8  to even pass a verdict.


EX-V7
  • 7.2 megapixel
  • 7x optical zoom (28x total)
  • 6.4 TFT screen

Extra:  Great zoom and great movie and photo features. Need I say more?

Verdict: Again, the writer was still too enthralled with the 7x optical zoom on the EX-V7  to even pass a verdict.

Exilim High Speed - F model and Pro - P model

For action and night speed pictures, nothing compares to the Exilim F model.   And for the best of everything, invest in a Exilim P model  with capabilities beyond your wildest photographic dreams.

EX-FH20

Extra: Take up to 40 photos per second, high speed film capable, HD recording.


EX-F1

EX-P505

  • 5cm TFT screen
  • 98.5mm x 73.5mm x 55.5mm (form a cube with six credit cards and that's about how big this baby is)

Extra: In addition to the small size, the flip out screen adds to the already extraordinary camera.
