While you should definitely stick to the classics such as coloured eggs and bunnies, you could use them in creative new ways. Decorating Eggs

Decorating eggs for Easter is a fun, easy activity that the whole family can enjoy.  Eggs represent renewal and new life and help capture the spirit of this holiday. Some colourful eggs created by you and your family will make great additions to your home this Easter. Here are some quick tips to help with the decoration process:

• Always place a table cloth down when dying eggs and wear old clothing. It can get a little messy.
• You will most likely need to get a egg decoration kit.  The will have all the tools you need to be creative when dying eggs.
• Before dying you have to hard boil your eggs and they must be completely cooled off before you start. (Placing them in the refrigerator will speed up this process)
• You could also try out a technique called "blowing out the yoke" and is done exactly the way it sounds. Rather than boiling, you poke a tiny hole in both ends of the eggs and blow out the yoke by placing your mouth on one of the ends. This technique is more difficult and you want to be careful not to let your mouth touch raw egg. However, unlike hard boiled eggs, these will last forever.
• Pick out a cute Easter basket  to display them in.

For Your Yard

Your yard and the outside of your house are the first thing a visitor sees upon arriving for your Easter celebration. A cute Easter display in your yard can help get guests or even just your neighbours in the Easter spirit. There are a variety of directions you could go. If you're more religious and want to be more subtle with your decorations, maybe a simple Easter flag  or cross  on your door is the way to go. However, if you want to be more fun and colourful, you could decorate you trees with mini egg. Try not to go over board though. Too many decorations in one yard tends to look messy and unorganised.

For the Table

One of the main events on Easter is the meal. Whether you're having Easter dinner or an Easter brunch, you'll want to have beautiful table decorations for friends and family. You can be either fancy or more fun or somewhere in between, but its best not to mix the two extremes. If you're having a fancy dinner party, you don't want to use paper cups.  Or if you want to have a more fun, relaxed environment, you don't want to use elegant taper candles.  Here are a few quick tips to keep in mind when decorating your table this Easter.

• Use a centrepiece. Even if it's simple, this will help enhance your meal and overall atmosphere of the dinner.
• Easter is at the beginning of spring, so use colours and flowers  that will help capture that spirit.
• Use candles. Use white or pastel coloured candles.  They can go around your centrepiece or even be its focus.
• Instead of flowers, you could use fresh fruit or decorated eggs as the centrepiece by placing them in a decorative bowl.
• Your tablecloth should reflect your centrepiece. If you have a simple focal point, don't use an over-the-top tablecloth.
• Your place mats  and napkins  should also coordinate with your table centrepiece.
