- Basting involves cooking the eggs with their own juices or some other marinade. Basted egg cookers help soak in flavour and keep eggs moist.
- Plastic Egg Cookers

- These are designed to resist very high temperatures. Some plastic egg cookers can also be placed in a microwave and used as an egg boiler.
- Steam Egg Cookers
