Epilators Buying Guide

Invented in 1986, the epilator  joined the ranks of other hair removal systems, such as waxing tweezing and chemical depilatories

What is an Epilator?

An epilator is anything that removes the hair and its follicle, such as waxing or tweezing.  In this case, the epilator Is basically a device with lots of mini tweezers that remove body hair.  The process is similar to waxing in the fact that it pulls out hair from the roots, but unlike waxing, it does not remove the first layer of skin in the area, and thus provides for a slightly less painful experience.  This might also benefit those with sensitive skin whose skin gets irritated by waxing.

Is it worth it?

Now that the price of everything is going up, a trip to the spa for a wax might not be an option and an epilator might be a good alternative for those who find shaving bothersome and tiresome.  Since most models come with warranties and only the head needs to be replaced every few months, a epilator might be a good investment.  Keep in mind, though, that epilators are not as efficient as wax and thinner hairs may break instead of being pulled out by the root.
