Facial Saunas Buying Guide

Contents[Hide]

Everyone knows that a good facial is the key to keeping skin healthy, clarified, and radiant. But, everyone also knows how expensive going to the spa regularly for facials can be, especially since it's recommended to have one a week! That's where a facial sauna  can help you out. If you're into skin care, and you want to keep yours looking great, then why not invest in your own facial sauna  for home. Use your sauna once a week in addition to your normal skin routine to keep your skin looking the best that it possibly can without the expensefacial sauna

The Basics

  • Facial saunas are usually moderately priced and affordable.
  • They are easy to use. Simply plug in and turn on the power. Fill the reservoir with water and wait for it to heat up.
  • Place your face on the mask and then adjust your position to feel the amount of steam you want.
  • Keep a glass  of water on hand to refill the machine. This is usually done every 10 minutes.
  • In order to simulate the spa experience, put on some headphones  and listen to some relaxing music
  • To get the most out of your treatment, add something extra. Drop a bag of chamomile tea  for a soothing experience or add some tea tree oil  for more skin benefits.
  • Read your instruction manual for tips on how to clean your sauna.

Also...

Facial saunas also double as a way to relieve your sinuses and nasal passages. The hot steam re-opens these blocked passages in order to help you breathe easily. Some machines come with a special inhaler attachment. This can help you treat all kinds of respiratory issues, like colds, bronchitis, allergies, asthma, and more. Features

  • A timer with auto-shutoff. Instead of constantly checking your watch, opt for a machine with a timer so you can relax and take a load off. Some models come with adjustable timers so you can control exactly how much time you steam.
  • Hot steam and cool mist. These options aren't necessary, but they do serve a purpose. After steaming, the shot of cool air will close your pores. If you want to use a scrub  or microdermabrasion  session, then you can just rinse with cold water instead. The dual action saunas tend to have less praiseworthy reviews online than the single action ones.
  • Ionizer. An ionizer option will produce up to three times as much steam as a normal sauna. The ionizing option is becoming more and more popular, so it won't cost that much extra for one. If you only have a few minutes and want to get the most steam possible, then this is for you. Otherwise, just stick to the normal type and you'll be fine.
  • Microdermabrasion tool. Your skin will be smoother and softer if you follow up with a microdermabrasion tool. This tool is worth its price, since a microdermabrasion kit  on its own costs much more.
  • A long cord. Make sure that the sauna you get has a long enough cord that you don't have to hover over the bathroom sink. Set yourself up in a comfortable position and then you'll be all set.

Keep in Mind

Facial saunas might not be the best idea for everyone. Since you are bent over for up to 15 minutes above the machine, if you have a bad back or that just sounds unappealing to you, then you might want to skip it. Instead, opt for a monthly dermabrasion kit or a trip to the spa. It might cost more, but you'll get the same benefits and turn out happier in the end.

Some Brands

There aren't that many brands that manufacture facial saunas, but the ones that do are reputably the best in the business:

There also aren't that many reviews out online, but one top product is the Conair Moisturising Mist Facial Sauna System
