Fragrances for Children Buying Guide

If your child is always getting into your perfume  collection and using all of your expensive Prada fragrances,  it may be time to get your little one a fragrance  of her own. Most perfumes for children  are very safe and not too strong, but it's always best to check out reviews on the product before purchasing anything. Body sprays  are usually a better alternative to heavy perfumes and colognes,  especially for kids.

Tips

• Test the fragrance on your child first. Spray a tiny amount on to the back of his or her hand or wrist and wait 24 hours. If you notice any signs of an allergic reaction, such as a rash or the area becoming swollen, obviously discard the product and do not use on your child.
• Teach your child how much to use. Children are notorious for taking too much, whether it's toilet paper or chocolate syrup. Make sure you teach your child from the beginning that one spray is enough. Usually it's better to explain why too much perfume is bad; try explaining that some people are allergic to heavy fragrances and more than one spray can really affect someone's ability to breathe.
• Keep the fragrance in your possession. If you don't want perfume all over your carpet or your child to be the terror of the elevators, it's probably best that you keep fragrances locked away or out of their reach.
