Game Boy Colour Games Buying Guide

Contents[Hide]

Though they may not be the newest games on the market, Game Boy Colour  games are still super fun. If you have a Game Boy Colour or a Game Boy Advance, the games listed below are must-haves! Though many consider Game Boy Colour games obsolete (as they do not play on Game Boy Micro  or Nintendo DS), there is a hidden gem in this fact: the games are cheaper. If you find Game Boy Colour games, chances are that they aren't going to have the same hefty price tag as DS games or Wii games (and if it is marked that high, do yourself a favour and walk away or try to bargain). Here are some of the most popular games for Game Boy Colour.

Quick Picks

Pokemon Crystal

If you gotta catch them all, you'll love the 251 monsters, two main adventures, countless side quests, and a baseline of 60 hours of game play.

Super Mario Bros. Deluxe

Mario fans will still love this instalment in the Super Mario Bros. instalment. The bonuses in this game can't be beat.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages

Zelda fans loved this game, along with its sister game featured below. In this game, there are eight dungeons to solve and eight mystical items, called the essences of time, that Link has to collect before he can set everything right.

Wario Land 3

This game was one of the best platform games on the system. The game play and controls work perfectly, and there's nothing that can compare to this quirky fun.

Dragon Warrior I & II

This full featured RPG allows you to play both Dragon Warrior I and Dragon Warrior II in succession and witness how their storylines and game play interact.

Metal Gear Solid

For those who love first person shooters, this one is for you. It is the best tactical-espionage title on the Game Boy Colour. This game offers 13 single-player levels, 180 VR missions, and a two-player duel mode.

Tomb Raider

Remember Tomb Raider? This game features crisp graphics (for the time) and fabulous game play. You'll spend hours kicking butt as Lara Croft.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons

Like Oracle of Time, this game was a huge hit with Zelda fans. The amazing thing is that both games managed to be different enough from each other and yet both succeeded equally as well.

Donkey Kong Country

This is a classic. Donkey Kong Country is quirky, fun, and perfect for adults or children. So go ahead, get nostalgic and monkey around. Don't all good things trace back to monkeys?

Alice in Wonderland

You'll have a mad happy tea party with this game! It's action-packed and adventure-filled. Perfect for kids, but great for Alice in Wonderland fans of all ages.
