Handheld Vacuums Buying Guide

Maybe your flat is too small to warrant buying a regular hoover maybe you have a lot of corners in your house, or maybe you have children and a car Whatever the reason, there are many things to consider before purchasing your hand-held. Are you looking for something with an attachment  to allow for better corner access? Do you need a vacuum that can be stored easily Do you simply need something to get rid of those crumbs that have been stuck in the couch for five years? Whatever the circumstance, hoovers come in sizes, colours, and levels of suction that vary greatly.

Some Things to Consider Before Buying

Do you have a lot of carpets? Are you unable to bend over for prolonged periods of time? Do you have serious dust allergies? These are all reasons to try and get a lightweight upright hoover or a basic upright. Hand-helds tend to not be able to handle heavy jobs, like carpets, so maybe think about investing in an upright in addition to a hand-held to keep your place clean. And if you do intend to use the hand-held on corners or stairs, remember that you'll be bending over to do this, so bad knees or a tricky back might not respond well. And finally, most hand-held hoovers are bagless, if you have a serious dust allergy, this will release the dust back into the air when you empty it. See if you can find a hand-held with a bag.

Luckily, there are a lot of options for you, and prices vary accordingly. Some plug into the wall, while others depend on batteries. Most handhelds store very easily, and lots of them come  with attachments for specific jobs, like car care or upholstery. Depending on what you need it for, chances are there's a hand-held available that will meet your needs.
