Leave-In Conditioners Buying Guide

Moisturizing your hair is just as important as moisturizing your skin. It's important to lock in moisture not only for aesthetic purposes, but also for your hair's health. Unlike usual conditioners, leave-in conditioners  are used after showering and remain in your hair until your next rinse. It's especially important to use a leave-in conditioner if you spend a lot of time in the sun (look for a leave-in conditioner with SPF  to ensure complete sun protection for your hair). There are leave-in conditioners made for all types of hair, so don't think that they aren't for you if you have fine hair. The most important part is to find a leave-in conditioner that works well with your hair type. You don't want anything too light, too heavy, too greasy, or just plain poor quality. Sound confusing? Don't worry, we're here to help you find the perfect leave-in conditioner that will hydrate your locks!

For Dry or Damaged Hair

  • Use a leave-in conditioner in addition to using a deep conditioner once a week. If your hair is dry and frizzy, it's okay to go with a leave-in conditioner with oils. Look for a cream  formula that has silicone, oils, and butters. Worried about your hair being greasy? The trick is to not apply too much. Use very small amounts, and you'll see outstanding results and little grease.

For Fine Hair

  • Look for leave-in conditioners that are glycerin based. Avoid creams, as these will weigh down your hair too much. Go for a light spray

For Normal Hair

  • Look for something in a liquid spray form. It's okay to go with a product that contains a little oil, especially if you have a bit of frizz. Look for glycerin based products that are light but hydrating.
