The other day when your child said, "Hey dad, let's go snowboarding!" you thought, "What is this new age activity?" Now I know this may come as a shock to you, but snowboarding isn't that new. Things have changed since you were a kid, and since you now have children of your own, you may want to find out what's "new" in the sports arena. Before you start grumbling about needless exercise, take a minute to think how your child's interest in sports could benefit you: when they are off practising with their teams, their friends, or individually, you will get some blissful you time on the couch. And although nothing could ever beat the good old javelin tournaments of your day, there may even be something that interests you in the games.
