Baby Underwear Buying Guide

An infant’s  skin is very delicate therefore; buying innerwear of the right fabric and right comfort level is the prime factor. So don’t get tempted by adorable underwear that’s cute but not comfy!  

Types of Infant Underwear

• One piece suits : They are open at the bottom which makes it easier to change nappies. They are available in three different types: 

• Long sleeve one piece 
• Short sleeve one piece 
• Sleeveless one piece

• Knickers : For girls , you can get frilly knickers ! 

• Vests : They are layered under a shirt to provide warmth. They are also available in a host of styles. Baby girls’ vest tops  may have a different pattern such as crossover straps. Other alternatives are printed  vests, graphic  vests or baby vest sets .  

• Bloomers : They generally come with an elasticised waistband  for comfort. It is roomy enough to hold the nappy in place.  

The Right Fabric Is Important

Babies should wear 100% cotton  to suit their sensitive skin. Many babies are prone to suffer from Eczema which causes rashes on various parts of the body. So all of baby’s clothing , underwear and sleep suits  should be made with 100% cotton (organic cotton  is better) and eco-friendly dyes.
