A lot of sawdust and dust can get thrown into the air while your working.  So protect your lungs and keep you workplace clean with a dust collector.  There are actually a myriad of ways to reuse your sawdust.  Here are some handy tricks: * Sawdust is a great way to soak up spills. * If you add sawdust to melted candle wax, then pour the mixture into an empty egg carton, you have your very own home firestarter log. * Mix it with some wood glue to make a putty that fills in wood holes and defects.

Lathes

Lathes are great for creating curved, symmetrical pieces.  It is basically a table that spins a piece of wood against a carving device to create a beautiful piece of wood.  Lathes usually have a measurement preceding them like 18/47 lathe if you think you are going to be dealing with large pieces of wood.
